ceived as a con stellation, a veritable pleroma of possibilities, which con
geals, solidifies, 'collapses' into con crete trajectories based on
nothing more than our decisions ..
.. free will is seen as sacred in many of the oldest traditions, & still today is held in high esteem .. through our actions & choices, we're doing nothing less than creating our very world .. but surely we must reaLLies, cuz it's clear as they, that there are other worlds out there ..
.. & could it be that we've been looking for parallel universes in the wrong place, when they've been literally staring us in the face ..? .. aren't we each other's parallel universes, but for the gods' grace ..?
.. seen in this Way, the world is a multiverse of crowd-sourced truth, where the "facts" may, nay do, vary, tho this is not at all to say that they hold equal sway .. there's a difference between democracy & determining what a fact is democratically ..
.. decisions are made democratically by a collective because they affect everyone more or less "equally", but some may have more knowledge, experience, or even intuitive insight about an event & its outcome ..
.. prediction markets at first give the appearance of being as useful a technique of divination as any .. unfortunately they're open to misuse by bad actors who have some inside knowledge which they might leverage to, as it were, pull a con ..
.. not to mention their addictive appeal to those who are hooked on the rush, the release, & even the heartbreak of gambling as such .. if they aren't regulated strictly, which surely they should be, they should at least be approached with due caution .. for many have suffered so few can benefit from these ..
Life's a gamble, so some say - and why not then put a little money on the table and see where the chips land, you just might have your lucky day.
Unlike
Maduro, but who's counting, and that's only one guy anyways. What kind
of score is ONE? That's not many points or dollars - maybe I should have
wagered more, but I don't have those kinds of inside connections.
The insiders know what is going to happen before it happens. For them it is not gambling, it is straight up just right taking money from the rubes who ended up on the other side of the bet.
If
someone has the ability to cause a particular turn of events, and can
bet on the outcome, well that's a sure fire ticket to hitting the
jackpot. Over, and over, and over again. The dealer has stacked the deck
- this time seemingly with jokers.
So the world becomes ever yet closer to a demented, horrifying theme park filled with all kinds of games. The ticketing system is in place, all you have to do is go out, start playing some of those games, and collect the local currency tickets.
Don't
worry if the prize counter attendant is out-to-lunch, you can use those
anywhere. Maybe you'd like to try your luck in a prediction market /
free-for-all betting arena?
Who wants us to end up in a place where everything is commoditized and financialized? Where everything has a price tag, all you need is the right decimals in your accounts. How can you trust the people keeping the books anyway, and what if those books burn?
Given the current trajectory of the world, of the machine, there's not a way to not blame, first: the elder generations, and two: the people controlling so much money, they take a bit off the top don't-ya-know, they can consider giving a single individual a trillion dollar pay package.
That's the equivalent, if I used the calculator right, of paying almost 12 million people the median salary in the USA for a year. That technically, in a theoretical sense, could command the lives of 12 million souls in their employment for one year - all to one man's vision of the future. That's 1/30th the value of all economic activity in the USA.
Does that make sense? I would hope not, but that's what we've got. Like I said, the deck seems to be stacked with jokers.
Meanwhile, the public seems to be being led into considering that life is but a joke. A throw of the dice, a turn of the cards. What else could it be if people are placing bets on disasters and then hoping they occur? Might be worth betting on global warming though, just sayin'
.. many have gone to great lengths seeking the opportunity to be warriors of renown .. in con trast, we're relatively fortunate; our very existence in these "interesting times" is just such an opportunity .. if we can make the most of it ..
.. one must respect mastery in order to be worthy of it ..
.. or so I've found ..
.. for why else would one tirelessly seek it out ..
